Jessica & Michael’s Wedding in Tarrytown, NY

We had an absolute blast photographing Jessica & Michael’s elegant wedding in Tarrytown, NY. It has been lovely getting to know this couple since their engagement session at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, NY. We also photographed their rehearsal dinner which helped us get acquainted with the bridal party and immediate family. Photographing the rehearsal is a great opportunity for us to test the lighting and positions of where my second photographer and I need to be to capture important moments throughout the ceremony.

We started the wedding day with the “getting ready” photos at the Ritz Carlton in White Plains, NY. Jessica and her bridesmaids were getting hair and makeup done, and then her mother and grandmother arrived to help with her dress and accessories. Jessica’s grandfather even made an appearance as we were getting ready to leave for the church to place a coin in her wedding heels for good luck (an old Italian tradition!). While I was with the bride, my husband, the second-shooter, was with the groom at his parent's home to capture his getting ready photos. We keep a list of important moments we need to capture on top of all the beautiful candid in-between moments. We also like to get the ring shots during this time and all of the detail shots. We give a list to the bride of all the things we would like to photograph (flat-lay style).

Jessica looked stunning in her sparkling wedding gown and up-do as did all of the fabulous bridesmaids in their dresses, hair, and makeup. I loved the peony bouquets. Michael and his groomsmen looked very dapper in their black tuxes and bright white shirts. Overall, the bridal party looking super classy, traditional, and stunning! Perfect for this elegant wedding about to commence.

The wedding ceremony took place in White Plains, NY at Ridgeway Alliance Church followed by a cocktail hour and reception at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, NY. It was such a joy being a part of their special day.
