Dreamy Golden Hour Beach Engagement

Engagement sessions are always a great way for me to get to know the couples I work with. I had so much fun photographing Christina and Vincent’s engagement session at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT! They are so sweet and totally in love. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year! We started the session at the exact same spot by the tree (second photo below) where Vincent popped the big question and Christina said “YES!”

What a beautiful night we had! I loved learning more about them as a couple and their style — engagement sessions are great practice for the big day as we will capture many similar poses. These sessions also help the couple get comfortable in front of my lens.

I learned that this beautiful bride-to-be loved to collect seashells with her sister growing up so she picked out a few to help me set up a beautiful beach scene for the macro ring shot — what a stunning ring (nice job, Vincent!).

We had the most gorgeous lighting from the minute we started shooting — here’s the sneak peek I sent them! Congrats again to the happy couple and can’t wait to share the rest of the photos with them.

Enjoy this beautiful week and the warm weather here in the northeast. Stay well, friends!
