Jessica's Bat Mitzvah took place on May 9th, 2015 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY on a beautiful Spring day. Jessica looked like a gorgeous princess in her pink, sequined dress, and she did such a wonderful job that day, making her parents very proud. We started the morning with Jessica's portrait session, then family portraits which took about an hour total.

For Jessica's individual bat mitzvah portraits and the outdoor portraits, I used the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 telephoto lens which gave me a flattering look and nice bokeh in the gardens outside the venue. We moved indoors to capture family portraits with immediate family and relatives so we had a one-light setup through an umbrella, shooting with the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8. After the portrait session the ceremony began and I was given permission to take photos from the back of the venue, so the telephoto lens really came in handy to capture all the right moments. We had lots of fun shooting this memorable event in their lives and it gives us great pleasure to know that they will cherish these photographs for a lifetime.
