A Picture-Perfect Surprise Proposal at Tod’s Point
Some moments are so special they deserve to be frozen in time, and last weekend, I had the privilege of capturing one of those—Drew’s beautifully planned surprise proposal at Tod’s Point in Greenwich, CT.
We had been in touch with Drew for months leading up to the big day, sharing ideas and scouting the perfect location. After much discussion, we settled on a quiet, scenic spot overlooking the water, with a stunning (albeit hazy) view of the NYC skyline in the distance. The forecast had been unpredictable, but we lucked out—close to 60 degrees on the first day of March! A bit windy, sure, but nothing could shake the excitement of the moment ahead.
On the day of the proposal, I arrived early to get into position at our pre-marked spot on the map. Drew texted as soon as they parked, and I got ready. As I waited, I let a few nearby beach walkers in on the plan, making sure we had a clear, uninterrupted view for what was about to unfold.
Then, everything happened perfectly. Drew led his unsuspecting girlfriend to the spot, dropped to one knee, and asked the question. She was completely shocked—overwhelmed in the best way—and, of course, said yes! After a few emotional moments, Drew pointed me out, and we transitioned into a mini engagement photoshoot on the beach. We wrapped up with some gorgeous macro shots of the ring, capturing every little detail of this unforgettable day.
